Worship & Media Team Christmas Gathering

Great friends, great food, and fun together! That's what the Worship & Media Team enjoyed at the Christmas-decorated home of John and Anne Purnell on December 17th. Bob and Traci Huber organized the program for the evening. Guests brought tasty dishes to share, then exchanged cups loaded with candy and gifts. They also filled a Gratitude Box with brief statements thanking team members for their contributions to a year of growing together.

Adult & Teen Challenge Christmas Banquet

Adult & Teen Challenge of the Sandhills (ATC) is a faith-centered, adult, long-term, residential, recovery program for individuals struggling with life-controlling addictions. ATC is strongly Christian based and currently has 113 clients enrolled at its campus on Farm Life School Road in Carthage. A recent survey of ATC program graduates found that 78% of the respondents are sober and substance abuse free after participating in the ATC program.

There is no cost to you at all! We will also provide popcorn and dinks for free. The movie starts at 7:00pm so come a little early to get your popcorn!

This week, our SAC volunteers - Bill, Joseph, Paul, Tom, Yul, Mary and Sherryl - packed food boxes to feed over 100 people. Plus, they assembled basic needs bags with toothbrushes, soap, toilet paper, laundry detergent and more. Next volunteer dates are 10/16 and 11/20 from 8:30 - 11:00. Starting in October 2024, we will have a movie night every 1st Friday of the month at 7:15 PM.
The cost is free, and there will be free concessions available, including popcorn!
Movie night begins at 7:15 PM, and the movie will start promptly at 7:30 PM. Be sure to come a little early to grab your concessions and get situated.
