Because of the importance of missions in the life of the Christian and Missionary Alliance denomination, Alliance churches hold periodic Global Focus weekends which involve hosting an International Worker for a weekend in order to learn about the workers themselves, their spiritual journey, and the field where they serve. On October 28^th and 29th, Sandhills Alliance Church hosted Connie, who serves with a church planting team in the Balkans region. Connie spoke several times during the weekend and is an engaging and dynamic speaker. Her presentations, backed up with photos, provided a vivid look into the field where she serves, complete with its struggles and challenges, but also with heart-warming stories of success and spiritual growth. A number of people signed up to receive email updates from Connie, so we will continue to cover her in prayer, and look forward to hearing from her when she returns next year.
