On October 9th, Sandhills Alliance Church, located at 111 Trotter Drive in Pinehurst, will host our first ever Mental Health Sunday. The goal of this event is to raise awareness and action about mental health in our faith community as well as the community at large. Come and learn about the stories and challenges facing people and their families experiencing mental illness, and find out what people of faith can do to help. Several local agencies and ministries are participating in the event, including NAMI-Moore County, From Ashes to Beauty domestic violence ministry, The Counseling Center of Pinehurst, and Linden Lodge Foundation.

At 8:45 is an interactive class and discussion entitled “Mental Health in the Pews”, facilitated by Dr. Devlyn McCreight of Campbell University. At 10 am we will gather for a “Come As You Are” worship service including worship, prayer, testimonies, and a powerful message. You will not want to miss this event! Please contact Bob Huber, Worship Director by phone or text for more information: 910-695-6765
