Every December, we enjoy driving through neighborhoods to see Christmas lights. While lights are fun, we can't forget that they symbolize the coming of Jesus, THE LIGHT of the world. In Isaiah 9, the prophet foretold Jesus' coming: "The people walking in darkness have seen a great LIGHT; on those living in the land of DEEP DARKNESS a light has dawned."
Most people acknowledge that we - like those in Isaiah's time - live in a dark world where evil and sin are pervasive and invasive. Darkness seems to be winning and people look to earthly solutions - government, money, innovation, intellect - but these all fail. Today, we focus on the ONLY, eternal answer to to the darkness!
