A newborn baby always attracts a lot of attention! When Jesus, the Son of God, was born, many came to see Him. In today's text, we meet Simeon, a man who had been waiting a long time for the Messiah, The Deliverer of Israel. Simeon was a righteous and devout man committed to living a life pleasing to God. Many years earlier, God promised him that he would not die until he saw the Messiah. He trusted God's promise for many years. Then one day, Mary and Joseph brought Jesus to the temple to be dedicated, and Simeon held God's Promise in his arms!
