Philip the Evangelist had been preaching the Gospel in Samaria. Many came to faith in Christ, many were healed, and many were set free through the power of Jesus. Philip was a man receptive to the voice of God - his spiritual ears were open!
An angel of the Lord said to Philip, “Go south to the road—the desert road—that goes down from Jerusalem to Gaza.” The angel didn't say why, but Philip humbly obeyed and on his way he met an Ethiopian eunuch, an important official. What happened next was a God ordained appointment between these men. The result of Philip having spiritual ears that were open and then obeying what he heard was miraculous!
