As believers who have trusted in Jesus' death on the cross to pay the penalty for our sins, we know our future is secure in Christ and we are full of hope! But, looking around, we see many people living in hopelessness. Sharing the good news of the Gospel is a privilege. Yet many believers hesitate  because they are unsure what the reactions of others may be. Jesus did warn us that some may eagerly receive while others will find it offensive. Either way, we must ask ourselves, "Is it worth experiencing the consequences that sharing Christ might bring to our lives?" 

As we dive into chapters 13 and 14 of Acts, we see the Apostle Paul and Barnabus experiencing three consequences of preaching the Gospel - their lives were threatened, they were misunderstood, and they experienced persecution. But they persevered because they also saw the Holy Spirit enable a fourth consequence - many people coming to saving faith!
