Even if gardening is not your hobby, you know that seed must be planted in good soil. The dirt is critical! In today's scripture passage, Jesus shares a story - a parable - of a farmer who sowed seed by casting it across various types of soil. And we learn that each type of soil produced different harvests.
Later, His disciples asked Jesus to explain the meaning of the parable and why Jesus taught in parables. As we listen, we will come to understand why this parable is often called "The Parable of Parables".
