Philadelphia was a lost city - without Christ and without hope - and this small and weak church was provided with a wonderful opportunity. Christ, the One who is Holy and True had opened a door for them so that they could compel those without Christ to come in and experience what they were themselves experiencing in their relationship with Him.
The blessing of receiving Christ's provision of an open door carried with it promises that He made to the believers. With the open door He presented to the church three promises which we'll focus on today.
