Nothing could stop the Apostles from preaching the Gospel and God was growing the Church. The believers in Jerusalem were then faced with the second "internal" problem for the young church - the ability of the leaders to handle the physical needs of the people in addition to teaching. Discontent was brewing because some felt they were being neglected. Instead of being paralyzed by the problem, the leaders took 3 steps to follow God's lead and adjust to the "growing pains." They provide a wonderful example of allowing the Holy Spirit to change the way they ministered.
