Every person who has ever lived carries a common trait - sin. We are born with a sin nature that makes it impossible for us to please God, to respond to God, to communicate with God, to have a relationship with God. The result? We walk in spiritual darkness. In John 8:12, Jesus said, "I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” Jesus is the light that cuts through all the darkness created by sin in our lives. God promises in Romans 8:13 that "Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved." This means confessing our sin, repenting, and placing our trust in Jesus for the forgiveness of our sins - past, present and future. Light always wins against darkess. Have you placed your trust in Jesus, the light fo the world, while you still have time?
