Today, we continue studying the letters written by our risen Christ to the 7 churches and ask, "What is God saying to us as a church and as individuals?" The church in Sardis had the appearance of being very alive spiritually, but Jesus rebuked them as being dead. The church was well known for it's vitality with no false doctrine, lots of activity and no shortage of money or workers. They had a form of godliness but denied the power of the Holy Spirit. In Part 1, we study the rebuke Jesus gave the church at Sardis.
