This week, we return to the book of Revelation and continue studying the words of Jesus as shared by an angel with John the Apostle. Chapter 2 begins a series of 7 letters to the seven churches in the province of Asia. Today, we study the second letter - written to the  church in Smyrna. 

Believers in Smyrna suffered much persecution because they held true to their faith  in Jesus Christ and refused to worship the Roman Emperor and Roman Empire. Many were destitute due to aggressive, cruel treatment. Today we learn how these believers answered the "call to suffering", a true mark of every Christian. No compromise!
