The Gospels of Matthew and Luke start with accounts of Jesus' birth in Bethlehem. But John's Gospel starts way before this - "IN THE BEGINNING, was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God." John retells the story of creation with Jesus, the Word (Logos), at the center. Jesus is the living expression, the exact representation of God's mind, heart and will and He alone, has the power to transform and fix our world that is broken by sin. Not only that, but He alone has the power to transform every person who calls upon Him!
